ORGANIZERS
The WOP Konekta congress is organized over three days,
On June 10 we will begin with WOP Konekta Open. An outreach session suitable for all audiences, designed so that we can all understand the potential of the exciting moment we are living in medicine.
On the 11th and 12th, organized into three sessions (technological frontier, gene therapy, cell therapy), the WOP Konekta congress will bring together leading national and international scientists and clinicians to explore the cutting edge state of the art and challenges in the search for and application of therapies and solutions for neurodegenerative diseases. Advanced therapies (with a special focus on gene and cell therapies), AI and quantum computing, brain–machine interfaces, etc.
All of this is designed to maximize interaction and to try to spark progress, reactions, and awareness so that, together as a society, we devote increasing efforts to ending neurodegenerative diseases as soon as possible. Because yes, there is hope.
SESSIONS
OUTREACH SESSION
A session in which we will understand the possibilities of AI and quantum computing applied to the nervous system and our health, the new personalized medicine, and models that simulate human biology… and many terms we see in the media that are hard to understand. With a very dynamic format featuring interviews with scientists and an open discussion with audience interaction, it is designed so that anyone can enjoy it, understand it, and learn.

The WOP Konekta congress will be held at the University of Deustoone of the most renowned academic institutions in northern Spain. Founded in 1886, it stands out for its academic excellence and its connection with the professional and social environment. Located in the heart of Bilbao, it is a benchmark in innovation, research and talent training. Its environment makes it an ideal setting for the exchange of knowledge and collaboration.
